Date: June 10-14, 2024

Time: 9-12 p.m.

Cost: $45/child

(Financial Assistance Available)

There is no cost for volunteers.

Seekers in Sneakers: Discover Jesus! is an interactive Vacation Bible School where children use their investigative skills to discover Jesus. Geocaching activities will challenge children to dig into the Bible to find the way to Jesus. This journey of discovery has many twists and turns, so children will learn to ask questions, work with others, shine their light in the world, follow Jesus’ example of serving others, and trust Jesus when things go wrong. Through worship and drama, Bible study, art and science explorations, and active games, children are invited to follow the example and teachings of Jesus in every place and every part of life. Snacks are provided. There is something for everyone including children, youth, and adults! VBS is for children ages four (by 8/31/2024) and potty trained through rising 5th graders. To register your child for VBS, sign up here. Financial assistance is available, please email Kimberly Rockas to apply. Youth (rising 6th grade through college) can volunteer to be teen helpers. Adult volunteers can also serve in a variety of roles. Teen helpers and adult volunteers may sign up here. So grab your water bottle, your Bible, and your friends, because this is going to be a great adventure!

Holy Comforter is proud of our groundbreaking Hispanic Ministries programs. We take a three-pronged approach to serving the educational, spiritual and day-to-day needs of our area Hispanic population by offering English as a Second Language (ESL) Classes, a La Misa Sunday afternoon service, and a dual language preschool.

When we give to God, our gift has an exponential factor on the world we live in. The exponential power of the group makes it easier to do Gods work. In Christ, power is infinite. Not limited to math, or our understanding of the universe. That infinite grace, unlimited love is free to everyone. That is real power. Your annual pledge goes to fund the operating budget of the church which makes it possible to share God’s love through our many ministries.

The Holy Comforter Foundation is charged with granting money to further the mission and ministry of the church, outside the annual operating budget, and separate from capital campaigns. Currently the Foundation manages two funds - the Mission and Ministry Fund and the Building and Grounds Fund.

Capital campaigns are conducted every few years to fund major and long-term expenses and capital investments in the church. Our most recent capital campaign, Making Room for the Spirit, was completed in 2018 and successfully raised over $1.2 million to renovate the Atkinson building, reduce debt, purchase the property next door at 2729 Park Road, and conduct strategic site planning for the future.
