Rector's Note
Dear Family:
By now you have probably heard of the loss of life of the four law enforcement officials and wounding of others yesterday in Charlotte, another needless tragedy.
I ask you to hold them and their families in prayer at this time of loss and grief. I also ask you to hold up all those who serve their neighbors as protectors and first responders, willingly placing their lives at risk for the well-being of others and for the common good.
In addition to those prayers, I add my prayers for you all. That among the temptations to despair, we may place our trust in the only One in whom true security can be found; and that we not lose hope, but see each needless act of violence as a call to each of us to bring peace and faith to the varied arenas in which we find ourselves… in our homes, in our families, in our work, and in our community.
I remain in contact with our local interfaith community, and will support our common spiritual life as I have done since my arrival.
I pray God’s Grace and Peace to you all.
Fr. Greg+
